MONDAY

public health: Establish employment contract with current health officer.

Sewers: Proposal to change Health Department policy for replacement of on-site sewer systems in the urban growth area.

sheriff: Presentation and review of 2012 Sheriff's Office budget.

auditor: Presentation and review of 2012 Auditor's Office budget.

human services: Presentation and review of department's 2012 budget. Item to come before commissioners at 1:30 p.m. during afternoon session.

planning: Workshop to discuss changes to county code to designate and protect Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas of the Walla Walla Shallow Gravel Aquifer. No public comment to be taken at that time. Public hearing to take testimony on proposed changes to be held at later date.

TUESDAY

workshop: Staff reports and miscellaneous business. No formal action to be taken.

COLLEGE PLACE

When: 7 p.m. Monday.

Where: College Place City Hall, 625 S. College Ave.

Levy: Public hearing on preliminary calculations for the 2012 property tax levy rate. Action on item may follow.

budget: Presentation, public hearing and discussion on the city's preliminary 2012 budget. Final public hearing on 2012 budget scheduled for Nov. 14 Council meeting.

judge: Request from city judicial committee to approve increase in salary for municipal judge. Increase would be from $1,175 per month to $1,535 per month.

project: Authorize staff to advertise a request for proposals for design engineering services for the College Avenue-Rose Street reconstruction project.

DAYTON CITY COUNCIL

When: 7 p.m. Monday

Where: City Hall, 111 S. First St.

HEARINGS: Will hold public hearings on 2012 revenue sources including property tax revenue, and the 2012 preliminary budget.

UTILITIES: Arthur Hall will comment to the Council regarding utilities.

REPORT: Hear report on 2011 third quarter Chamber of commerce activities.

TAX LEVY: Consider resolution setting 2012 property tax levy.

BUDGET: Consider reading for first time ordinance authorizing the 2012 budget.

UTILITIES: Conduct first readings by title only of ordinance amending a portion of the monthly uniform sewer services charges for 2012, and of an ordinance to establish monthly garbage rates for 2012.

COLUMBIA SCHOOL DISTRICT

When: 7 p.m. Monday

Where: Administration Building Board Room, 755 Maple St.

REPORTS: Hear reports on enrollment, and financial status.

POLICIES: Hold first reading on policy related to awards and incentives. Hold second reading and consider for adoption policies related to election, enrollment, student immunization and life-threatening health conditions, and hiring of retired school employees.

ATHlETICS: Discuss winter athletic schedules.
