COLLEGE PLACE - Waitsburg-Prescott rounded out its District 9 2B regular season with a league championship after shutting out Walla Walla Valley Academy, 8-0, here Monday.
Francisco Gonzalez had a hat trick for W-P, while Lino Diaz and Kevin Ortega scoring two apiece.
Aldair Escalante had the other W-P score.
Luis Torres picked up three assists, and Gonzalez and Enrigue Valderas had one assist each.
W-P led 3-0 at halftime.
Pedro Mendoza had seven saves in goal for W-P.
"We're playing better defense overall," W-P assistant coach Jay Potts said. "We're looking forward to playing Nov. 2."
W-P, now 12-1-2, likely hosts St. George's or Northwest Christian Nov. 2 in Prescott.
