WALLA WALLA -- "Autumn Fanfare," the second Symphony Series concert in a year-long celebration of Maestro Yaacov Bergman's 25th season with the Walla Walla Symphony, is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Cordiner Hall, 46 S. Park St.
The concert features the world premier performance of a work by the Symphony's principal trumpet, William Berry, titled "fanTAStic! A Celebration of 25 Fantastic Years," composed in honor of Maestro Yaacov Bergman's 25th Anniversary with the Symphony.
Also featured is a tuba concerto by Edward Gregson with Torrey Lawrence, tuba, and Saint Sans' "Symphony No. 3 in C Minor," known as the "organ" symphony, with organist Kraig Scott.
Inside Music, a free half-hour pre-concert talk, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Whitman College's Reid Campus Center Ballroom. All seating for the concert is reserved.
Pro-rated season tickets for the symphony series are available and include four concerts: "Autumn Fanfare" on Tuesday, "Messiah" on Dec. 11, "Valentine" on Feb. 14 and "Spring Celebration" on April 24.
