Barn preservation workshop set at WWCC

WALLA WALLA -- The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation will host a free workshop on barn preservation Sept. 14 at the Water & Environmental Center at Walla Walla Community College.

The workshop, 8-9:30 a.m., is for barn owners wishing to learn more about the Heritage Barn Preservation Initiative and to assist in filling out the heritage barn nomination form as well as the heritage barn grant application.

These designations are available for barns 50 years old or older that retain significant historic integrity, according to a news release.
