Walla Walla Corps worker decorated in Afghanistan


A worker from the Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been decorated with the Army Superior Civilian Service Award, Global War on Terrorism Civilian Service Department of Defense Medal and NATO Medal.

Donna Street served as the area engineer at Mazir-e-Sharif from Aug 29, 2010, to Sept. 24. She led a team of more than 50 engineering and construction personnel responsible for a $700 million construction program. Street's leadership resulted in building projects totaling $73 million at Kunduz Afghanistan National Army Headquarters and $25 million at Afghanistan National Army Support Battalion at Balkh, according to a news release.
