MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi knows its service game is key to its success, and showed it Tuesday night against Helix.
The Pioneers handed the Grizzlies a 25-12, 25-11, 25-13 loss at the Mac-Hi gym behind Kaitlin Erm's 13-for-15 serving with six aces.
"Our team is big on serves," Mac-Hi coach Kaila Rodighiero said, "and last night that showed. The girls know how important that is.
"The girls are working real hard and they deserved it. I'm expecting to see more good things from my girls."
Megan Reed turned in 13 aces with four assists, and Avery Wells had four kills for the Pioneers in the match.
Mac-Hi heads to Baker at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Helix next plays at the Weston-McEwen Tournament Saturday, with Dayton and Waitsburg-Prescott also in attendance.
