Touchet falls in five to visiting Lacrosse-Washtucna


TOUCHET - Visiting Lacrosse-Washtucna took a Southeast 1B volleyball match from Touchet Tuesday night, 25-14, 17-25, 25-16, 18-25 and 15-6.

Kristen Warner had seven kills, one stuff and a save in the five-set match for the Indians.

"We were up and down all night," Touchet coach April Miller said. "Unfortunately, we started off on the down side. Both teams struggled with consistency."

Also for Touchet, Harlie Schaeffer had 15 assists, Nicole Brown seven aces, and Shelby Gould was 13-for-13 serving with two aces.

For the TigerCats, Anne Fleming had 17 assists and six digs, Logan Harder nine kills and three aces, and Kadie Whinery three stuffs.

"We are making positive strides," Miller said. "If we can be more consistent, things will start going our way."

Touchet next heads to Garfield-Palouse Thursday.
