Symphony Benefit Soiree chamber music opens Oct. 8

The Walla Walla Symphony opens its Benefit Soiree chamber music series at 7 p.m. Oct. 8, in the acoustically superb St. Paul's Epsicopal Church, 323 Catherine St. The series features a pre-concert reception with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine, coffee and tea followed by an intimate performance by a featured Symphony guest artist. The first concert of the series features world-renowned violinist Haroutune Bedelian, his wife, pianist Lorna Griffitt and cellist Edward Dixon. The trio will perform Brahms' "Piano Trio No. 2 in C Major, Opus 87" and additional pieces to be announced. Tickets are $20 for a single event or $55 for the series of three events, and are available online at www.wwsymphony.org, by calling 509-529-8020 or at the Symphony office, 13 1/2 E. Main, Suite 201 in Walla Walla. Seating is limited.
