COLLEGE PLACE -- Young people who want to learn about aviation can take to the skies for free Saturday.
The local Experimental Aircraft Association will offer free airplane rides to children and teenagers at Martin Field. The flights will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and each ride will last for about 20 minutes. Riders must be between 8 and 17 years old and must bring a parent or guardian with them, said Wilma Cheney, one of the event's organizers.
EAA chapter members will also be on hand to talk with people about how they can learn to fly and aviation in general. Information is available at 522-1847.
