WALLA WALLA -- Providence St. Mary Medical Center will present a stroke education program Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the hospital's Providence Room on Level 1.
Stroke prevention, symptoms, and the latest advances in local treatment and rehabilitation will be features at the free event. At 6 p.m., staff from Providence Telestroke Network will "beam in" to the Telestroke robot to address the audience. Through the interactive robot, staff will discuss advances in stroke treatment and technology.
At 6:30 p.m., the public is invited to tour the newly remodeled Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit on Level 3 to see the stroke rehabilitation program and facilities available.
