WALLA WALLA -- The Walla Walla Police Department has implemented a new online service for accessing traffic collision reports.

The department partnered with Docview, LLC, to reduce the daily time spent processing requests for collision reports, noted spokesman Tim Bennett in a press release.

Insurance companies and law firms representing people involved in accidents can now purchase the collision reports online, which delivers the report faster and saving the police department time and money, he said.

The department files nearly 600 traffic collision reports yearly, he added.

There is a fee for the service, which will be tacked on to the cost of the report. Those who do not wish to pay the convenience fee can go to the department's office and pay the normal report fee.
