PASCO - Wa-Hi dropped a Big Nine Class 4A volleyball match to Chiawana here Thursday, 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

Tianna Cummings had 14 digs for the Blue Devils, Chantelle Zamora had 13 digs and six kills, and Torri Crawford had nine kills. Kennedy Snyder picked up 17 digs.

Chiawana improves to 6-0 in Big Nine play, and 16-5 overall.

"Chiawana is undefeated, so we were excited to go over there and get after them," Wa-Hi coach Audra Cummings said. "The first time we lost to them in five (sets), in the opening match of the season. We were feeling good after that tough match. But we had too many errors (on Thursday). I felt like we beat ourselves more than anything else.

"We did some good thing, but we couldn't hold a lead."

Wa-Hi, now 3-5 in league and 6-6 overall, next travels to Richland at 7 p.m. Thursday.
