RICHLAND - Waitsburg-Prescott beat Liberty Christian in three sets Thursday, taking the match with scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-13.
"They were good games," W-P coach Angie Potts said. "In the second set Liberty Christian served us pretty tough and our serve receive broke down a little bit."
W-P managed to come back and take the second set thanks to some good defense.
"We had some good defense and we had some great digs from Jennifer (Nichols)," Potts said. "That helped us get some things going on the offensive end. We were able to get some things going that we had been doing in practice so that was good to see."
Nichols had 15 digs on the night.
Amanda Cook also dug up 12 balls along with five kills.
Kayla Huxoll had 13 digs to go along with 18 assists and three blocks.
Krystal Harris contributed five kills and six digs.
Finally, Ronnie Hulce had another banner day with eight kills, nine digs, six blocks and five aces.
