Marilea Fulton, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla.
She was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Fern, Okla., to Edward and Clara Parsons. She and Darl Fulton married and moved to Yakima in the 1940s. She also had lived in Pendleton for several years before moving to the Seattle area. She worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service in the Seattle and Yakima offices before retiring in April 1987. Following her retirement, she moved to the Walla Walla area.
Marilea was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and is survived by three daughters and one son: Sandy Morgan and Jim Fulton both of Walla Walla; Susy Coupal and her husband Steve of Lakewood, Colo.; Lana Smith of Portland; her sister, Ann Clark of Selah, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and a son-in-law.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Skip Pritchard of the College Place Presbyterian Church will officiate. The graveside service and burial will follow in Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, Myra Road, College Place. Following the graveside service, there will be a reception at the home of her daughter, Sandy Morgan. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of donor's choice through the funeral home.
