newspaper: Open bids to run county legal advertisements from local newspapers.
rally: Request from Walla Walla County Tea Party Patriots to use Walla Walla County Courthouse lawn for a rally.
Public hearings: Public hearings to declare equipment and supplies as surplus to allow sale or disposal; on franchise request by Tom Page for an irrigation line on Beet Road; amending the county's 2012 Annual Construction Program and amending the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program. All items to come before board at 10:30 a.m. during time for Public Works Department. Action on items may follow.
Tuesday
planning: Approve memorandum of understanding between county and Walla Walla Joint Community Development Agency for records access and maintenance.
land purchase: Discussion and possible action on purchase of Burlington Northern Railroad right of way by Mike McCarty.
executive session: Possible executive session to discuss pending or possible litigation.
Dayton City Council
Where: City Hall.
When: 7 p.m. Monday.
PARADE: Will consider request from Dell Groom of the Alumni Association for annual Alumni Parade route.
CORRIDOR: Will discuss Commercial Street Corridor Master Plan with Bette Lou Crothers and Marcene Hendrickson of the Dayton Development Task Force.
COURTS: Hear report from Judge Scott Marinella on the state of Columbia County District/Municpal courts.
VACATION: Consider resolution setting date and time for public hearing on vacation of a portion of South Fifth Street.
RESOLUTION: Consider resolution amending City of Dayton Standard Specifications.
ORDINANCES: Consider ordinances amending the 2012 budget to account for 2011 ending fund balances.
CONTRACT: Consider contract with Central Valley Construction, LLC to connect existing water services to newly installed water main Richmond Avenue.
COLLEGE PLACE
When: 7 p.m. Monday.
Where: College Place City Hall, 625 S. College Ave.
road project: Update on Larch Avenue and Fourth Street overlay project. Confirm scope of work as described.
wastewater: Authorize administration enter into contract for engineering services to prepare response to proposed state Department of Ecology permit for city's wastewater treatment plant.
planning: Approve mayor's recommendations for appointments to city Planning Commission.
CARS project: Update on College Avenue-Rose Street Reconstruction Project and Whitman Avenue Project.
executive sessions: Possible executive session to consult with city attorney on legal matters.
m-f city council
When: 7 p.m. Monday.
Where: 8 S.W. Eighth Ave., Public Library Albee Room.
Investment policy: Required annual review of investment policy, to include review of safety, liquidity and rate of return.
Debt write-off: Approve the write-off of funds owed the city but deemed unrecoverable. Total is $17,224.
Surplus items: Approve two vehicles to be listed as surplus and liquidated: 1990 Ford Ranger with 96,674 miles and 2001 Chevy Pickup with 82,171 miles.
