Arvilla was born in Milford, Neb., on April 20, 1932. At just a few months old, she was adopted by her loving parents Glen and Iva Fiero. She attended grade school and junior high in Cabool, Mo. Glen and Iva moved their family to Milton-Freewater in 1946 where she attended high school at Mac-Hi. Arvilla married Clifford Howard Richardson on Sept. 11, 1948. They had seven children; they settled their family in Walla Walla in 1958. Arvilla worked at Birds-Eye Frozen Foods later known as D K Frozen Foods where she met many lifetime friends. Until a few years ago when her health declined, Arvilla and her friends would meet monthly to reunite. She retired from D K in 1986.

She and Clifford enjoyed spending time with their seven children. Their family enjoyed music, camping, holidays with large family gatherings, and joking around. Clifford passed away May 30, 1984.

Later she married England Earl Richardson. They spent many happy years together until Earl's passing in 2007.

One of Arvilla's goals in her life was to find and connect with her biological family. She reached that goal and while her biological mother had already passed, she was reunited with five half-sisters and one half-brother; this brought her great glory.

Arvilla was also preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Iva Fiero; and granddaughter, Tammy Bates-Avila. She was survived by her six daughters, Rosetta Brito (Epi) of Athena, Ore; Patricia Conklin of Richland, Wash.; Connie Fletcher (Ernie) of Edmonds, Wash.; Glenda Bates of Miami, Fla.; Lynette Phillips of Walla Walla; Barbara Chadek (Steve) of Milton-Freewater; and one son Clifford Richardson Jr. (Belinda) of Walla Walla. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
