PENDLETON - Walla Walla Community College pitchers combined to shut out Blue Mountain in both ends of an NWAACC Eastern Region baseball doubleheader here Saturday.

Kasey Knigge tossed five-and-two-thirds innings of three-hit ball and Connor Lawhead allowed just one hit over the final three-and-a third frames of a 3-0 Warrior victory in the opener.

Drew Christina allowed just five hits and struck out 12 over six-and-a-third innings to run his record to 7-0 as WWCC completed the sweep with a 2-0 triumph in game two.

Walla Walla is now 8-4 in league and 19-9 overall.

Jarrod Turner scored on a two-out error to break a scoreless tie in the fourth inning of game one and stroked a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

Jared Jordan knocked in the Warriors' last run with a seventh-inning double.

Neal Schuck had two hit for WWCC. Knigge improved to 4-2 and Lawhead notched his fourth save.

Both of Walla Walla's runs in game two scored in the third inning. Tony Salas drove in one run with a groundout and Cody Poznanski delivered an RBI single.

Shane Dixon relieved Christina with one-and-two-third innings of no-hit relief and Ryan James hurled a scoreless ninth for his first save of the year.
