A small group of historians unveiled a stone marker at Abadie Street and 13th Avenue to commemorate the opening of the Mullan Road 150 years ago. The ceremony was part of a number of historical events this year to commemorate the city's sesquicentennial. In May, the Walla Walla Sesquicentennial Committee is expected to bring historical weekend tours of downtown. And a commemorative coin to honor the city's 150th year will also be sold later this year. Above, Dan Clark and Doug Saturno help to remove the drape that had covered the stone memorial.
