Ballots due in CP bond election

COLLEGE PLACE -- Today is the last day to cast votes for a bond proposal that would rebuild College Place Public Schools and establish a new public high school. The $38.5 million proposal requires a 60 percent supermajority to pass. If approved, the district will qualify for $10.88 million in matching state funds for a project total of $49.4 million.

Ballots must be postmarked by today, or can be dropped off in any of the Walla Walla County Election's Office drop boxes no later than 8 p.m.

Drop-off locations are at the election office, 310 W. Poplar St.; in the alley between the Walla Walla County Jail and Courthouse; the fire station at 170 N. Wilbur Ave.; in the alley behind the College Place City Hall, 625 S. College Ave.; and at Waitsburg City Hall, 147 Main St.
