Walla Walla From auto parts to home furnishings and more: The former O’Reilly Auto Parts on Ninth Avenue will become the new location of sales and lease store Aaron’s.
The business is planning to make its Walla Walla debut in October, according to information from the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce. This will be one of more than 1,945 Aaron’s stores across the U.S. and Canada, according to the Aaron’s website.
The business sells and leases furniture, electronics, appliances and computers. Nearby locations include Hermiston, La Grande, Kennewick and Pasco. This particular franchisee, Franchise Corp., owns about 20 stores. Five full-time positions will be available with the opening. Those interested can email résumés to Sales Manager David Qualls at firstname.lastname@example.org. An attempt to reach Qualls for more information Thursday was not immediately successful.
A few details about the business from the company’s website: Aaron’s Inc. was founded by R. Charles Loudermilk Sr. who continues to serve as chairman. In 1955 Loudermilk and a partner borrowed $500 to buy 300 chairs, which they subsequently rented out for 10 cents a day to auction houses. The model developed from there into a publicly traded company.
