Woman hurt, man arrested in shovel attack

— A Prescott woman was assaulted by a man who struck her with a shovel early Wednesday morning, officials said.

According to a Walla Walla County Sheriff’s report, Arin K. Goe, 30, was at a Waitsburg residence at 21495 E. Highway 12 around 2 a.m. when she stepped outside and was attacked.

Goe was taken to Dayton General Hospital where she was treated and a police report was initiated.

While a deputy was on his way to interview Goe at the hospital, he spotted the suspect walking on U.S. Highway 12 and apprehended him.

Jeremy J. Prishmont of Spokane was arrested on investigation of second-degree assault and is in the Walla Walla County Jail.

Goe received broken bones to her hand and lacerations to the shoulders, the report said.
