Burglar learns don't mess with Medford woman


MEDFORD — A Medford woman who caught a burglar in her home says he was begging her to call police after the beating she gave him.

Kathlene Brown says she found the man in her bedroom when she returned from work Early Sunday. She says she punched him in the face, grabbed him by the ears and knocked him in the head with her knee.

The Mail Tribune reports the fight continued into the hall with kicking, choking and biting.

When police arrived the subdued intruder was in Brown's living room, bleeding from his nose and mouth.

The 23-year-old man was jailed on burglary and other charges. Police found Brown's TV and stereo equipment outside her bedroom window.
