Pendleton police investigate death at motel
PENDLETON – Pendleton Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found in a Travelodge Motel room just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Umatilla County District Attorney Daniel Primus, hotel staff reported finding Amyjane Nicole Brandhagen “either passed out or deceased,” in her room.
Primus would not comment this morning about whether there was evidence of gunshot or knife wounds or whether there was anyone else in the room with Brandhagen at the time of her death.
“We’re not commenting on the circumstances at all,” Primus said. “I need to allow time for my officers to continue investigating this case.”
Primus did confirm police are treating Brandhagen’s death as a homicide.
“There is little or no information available concerning motive or the identity of person(s) responsible for the death,” Primus stated in a press release issued yesterday afternoon.
Anyone with information regarding the death of Brandhagen is encouraged to contact the Pendleton Police Department at 541-276-4411.
