Walla Walla It makes sense that a new building under construction on Isaacs Avenue would be the future home of a coffee shop given that the project is moving at such a nimble pace.
The structure in the works at 1615 Isaacs Ave. will be the future home of Coffee Cravings, owner Susan Richard said. Employees will be making a jump from right next door when the new java joint is complete, likely in the next couple of months.
Richard said the new space will be similar to Coffee Cravings’ location at 10th Avenue and Poplar Street with a dual drive-through lane. She said the current location on Isaacs has served the business well, but the opportunity to grow couldn’t be passed up. “It’s the next little jump for us,” she said. Tri-Watts Properties, which owns the 10th and Poplar location, also owns the land on which the new roughly 680-square-foot building is being constructed.
When it’s complete, customers will be able to enter the business from Isaacs Avenue as well as from the alley that connects off Blue Street. Arrows pointing the way will help direct traffic, Richard said.
Coffee Cravings employs about 14 people between both locations. Its hours of operation are 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
