Megan Butler and Jesus Espana wed July 14, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walla Walla. The Rev. Pedro Bautista-Perasa officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Nancy Butler of Dayton. She graduated in 2008 from Dayton High School. She completed CNA training at Walla Walla Community College in 2011 and works for ResCare in Walla Walla.
The groom is the son of Ranulfo and Simona Lopez of College Place. He graduated in 2008 from Walla Walla High School and attended WWCC. He works for the Walla Walla Foundry.
The bride’s sister, Maryelizabeth Peterson, was maid of honor. Sarah Lee, Zoe Butler, Sol Mendoza and Ryann Michael were bridesmaids.
Felix Espana was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Ben Espana, Matt Zier, Noel Perez and Ryan Wing. Junior groomsmen were the groom’s nephews, Alex and Alan Espana. The couple’s son, Damien Espana, was ring bearer.
The groom’s aunt and uncle, Joel and Matilde Lozano, were padrino and madrina for the traditional Mexican ceremony. Also participating in the ceremony were Aubrey Espana, Anna Espana, Jennifer Midura, Jessica Lozano, Ulices Mendoza and Colby Hendricks. Music was provided by the St. Patrick Spanish Choir.
The reception followed at the Running T Ranch in Dayton. The newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii.
They live in College Place.
