Ask member of Romney's church

I wish to support Donna Murray's statement that Mitt Romney is a Christian. I am a member of the same church he belongs to.

If you want to know the truth, go to the source. If you want to buy a certain make of car, you wouldn't go to a different maker to find out about it. We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many aspects of our religion are very sacred to us and are not discussed casually or in casual circumstances. We revere and respect Joseph Smith as a prophet, or mouthpiece, of the Lord, as we also do President Thomas S. Monson, our current prophet.

In addition, many of the woes our nation is facing are a direct consequence of not obeying God's commandments. Consider the following from Malachi 3:8-10: "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse ... and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it ..."

God is not dead. He is waiting to bless us, but those blessings do not come without effort on our part.

Janine, if aspects of your religion are sacred and not discussed casually, would you please remind the boys who are knocking on doors in the neighborhood that they should not be discussing your sacred beliefs so casually? I'm really tired of telling them to go away. You are obviously allowed to believe what you want but I happen to think Joseph Smith was a con man and a liar and I don't care to hear his story on my front porch.

Thank you common sense!, I told the last couple of boys that I was a lesbian who practiced Wicca ..they left rather quickly and I have not been bothered since, but having been Mormon for a very short period of time, all I heard about was Joseph Smith,a little about Jesus, and a lot of testimony to the fact that ole joe was the truest prophet of god( ya know the guy only had a third grade education).so his credibility was severely depleted then.but then I started hearing about sacred rituals in the temples, and that only certain people were allowed into those ,and that really made me question this religion even more!! The Mormons are big on family, and taking care of their own...but for the rest??? poppycock!!
