FROM A WWPD PRESS RELEASE:

Walla Walla Police are investigating two residential burglaries that have taken place the last two mornings in a row.

Wednesday’s burglary occurred between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and shortly after noon when the resident came home to discover the break-in at the residence in the 1100 block of Bonsella. An undisclosed amount of cosmetic jewelry and a suitcase were reported missing.

This morning’s burglary was reported at 7:00 when an intruder walked into a bedroom occupied by a resident in the 1100 block of Alvarado Terrace. The suspect then ran from the residence. Another resident had left the home shortly before the suspect entered through an unlocked door. It is believed the suspect was watching the residence and entered only after he thought all the residents had left.

The suspect in both burglaries was described as a white male, about 50 years old, wearing a baseball cap. Both occurred in the same neighborhood.

Police request neighbors be alert and call in suspicious activity.
