Up Balloon Boutique will be sailing into downtown Walla Walla as one of the new tenants at Garden City Plaza.
Amber Clark, owner of the business that specializes in unique balloon bouquets, said Up will be moving from its current location in College Place into space at 119 E. Alder St.
The business is reportedly one of a cluster moving into Garden City Plaza, the building located between the current Misbehaven Spa & Salon and Pho Sho.
According to information from the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation, Jennifer and Jason Oney and Robert Stuart, owners of The Den Pizzeria in College Place, have been working to find a new location for their business. With their sights on Garden City Plaza, they’ve also been working with several other tenants to occupy space in the building’s plaza-like setting.
In addition to Up and The Den, which will also include Journeys Pub with craft beer and local wine, the lineup features: The Nest, a gathering of gift and goods featuring Walla Walla Soap Works, Paleo Press Letterpress Studio and other local artisan products; Walla Walla Wine Barrels, a local company creating furniture out of wine barrels; and feather creations from local artist Sherry Orchard.
The collective group is slated to open by the end of September, according to the foundation’s information.
