PENDLETON — Nationally known folk musicians Heidi Muller and Bob Webb will take the stage at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Pendleton Center for the Arts, 214 N. Main St.
Award-winning songwriter Muller and multi-instrumentalist Webb recently moved from West Virginia to Wallowa County, bringing their eclectic mix of original songs, Appalachian traditional tunes and unique instrumental arrangements.
Muller made her name as a recording artist in the Pacific Northwest, releasing five CDs and touring nationally in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Her “Good Road” is the Inland Folk theme song heard weekly on Northwest Public Radio.
Webb played for years in the house band for the NPR show, “Mountain Stage,” accompanying legendary artists Odetta, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton and Shawn Colvin, among others.
The duo will play selections from their new CD, “Light the Winter’s Dark,” which is marked by Muller’s smooth vocals and dulcimer expertise, and Webb’s notable work on guitar, mandolin and cello.
Tickets are $10 and available by calling 541-278-9201 or at the door. The event is made possible through the support of Mautz & O’Hanlon, LLP.
