WALLA WALLA — The city’s annual leaf pickup program, which began Nov. 1 and has gone through two full rounds on city trash routes, will have a third go at leaves starting Monday. This will complete leaf collection for the season and no further collection efforts will be done.
The final round will start with Monday’s trash route. City residents are asked to place loose leaves in the street along the curb near the gutter by Monday.
Do not block stormwater grates. Make sure vehicles are not parked on top of leaf piles and are at least 10 feet away from the piles. The crews will not pick up leaves that are not easily accessible.
If you miss the city crews’ last collection efforts, remember that drop boxes are in place in Pioneer and Howard Tietan Parks until Dec. 31 for residents to deposit leaves in.
Questions about leaf collection or drop box locations may be directed to the Street Division at 527-4363.
