MOSES LAKE — After starting the season 0-3, Walla Walla Community College’s men’s basketball team now possesses a three-game winning streak after collecting a pair of wins at the Big Bend Runnin’ Vikes Classic that wrapped up here Saturday.

The Warriors beat the Columbia Basin All-Stars, 104-71, on Saturday after knocking off Bellevue — tied for fourth in the first NWAACC coaches poll — on Friday, 73-68.

Case Rada, coming off an NWAACC Player of the Week honor, led a quintet of Warriors in double figures on Saturday with 29 points. Hunter Hahn added 23 for WWCC.

Others hitting double digits were Eric Harr with 16 points, Dylan Radliff with 12, and Dallas Reich with 10.

Radliff led Walla Walla in its victory over Bellevue with 25 points. Rada scored 23 and Hahn had 11.

The Warriors won on Friday despite shooting just 16 percent (5-of-31) from the field in the second half. WWCC converted 35 of 39 chances from the free throw line. Rada and Radliff were a combined 32-for-33.

“Both teams did not shoot the ball very well,” WWCC coach Jeff Reinland said of Friday’s triumph. “It was a defensive, intense, hard-nosed game. We were able to get to the foul line.

“When you beat the fourth-ranked team in the NWAACC, that’s pretty good,” Reinland said. “They’ve got a very good club and play good defense.”

Walla Walla travels to Roseburg, Ore., for an NWAACC crossover tournament next Friday through Sunday. Its first game will be Friday against Linn-Benton.
