Man arrested after Ford stolen from Chevy dealership

WALLA WALLA — Police arrested a local man after he allegedly stole a Ford pickup truck from a Chevrolet car dealership.

Robert J. Kreykenbohm, according to police reports, walked into O’Brien Motors, 1395 Dalles Military Road just after 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Kreykenbohm allegedly then got into a 2006 F-350 and drove away. According to police, an O’Brien employee gave chase in another vehicle, catching up to Kreykenbohm at a nearby intersection.

Police said when the unidentified employee confronted Kreykenbohm, the man “just walked away.” Police arrested the 29-year-old a short time later. Kreykenbohm, who lives at 1429 Portland St., reportedly told police he lived at 1345 Baker Boyer.

Kreykenbohm was lodged in the Walla Walla County Jail for investigation of motor vehicle theft and providing false information to a public servant.
