WALLA WALLA — A man accused of holding a woman against her will for several hours at a local residence earlier this month pleaded innocent Monday afternoon to four felony charges.
Kyle R. Jamerson, 27, is set for trial Jan. 23 in Superior Court on the charges of first-degree kidnapping — domestic violence, second-degree assault — domestic violence, possession of an unlawful firearm and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Jamerson allegedly became enraged while at an apartment in the 1000 block of Alvarado Terrace early on the morning of Dec. 6, pointed a sawed-off, 12-gauge shotgun at Kimberly S. Hodgen, said she wasn’t allowed to leave and threatened to kill her. Jamerson and Hodgen previously were in a relationship, according to a police report filed in court.
A female witness “reported she heard Kyle state that he had three (3) shells for the shotgun with one of the shells for Kimberly, one for Kyle, and one for Law Enforcement that Kyle claimed to have called,” the report says.
Hodgen was able to escape after one of the women became ill and they all went to a local hospital, according to police.
Jamerson — who has five felony convictions on his record — was arrested that afternoon after being seen near the intersection of University and Stanton streets.
Bail was set at $50,000.
