HELIX — South Wasco County held Helix scoreless in the first quarter and rolled to a 53-24 Big Sky Conference girls basketball victory over the Grizzlies here Tuesday night.
The Redsides led 15-0 after the first eight minutes, 28-8 at halftime and used a 17-3 scoring advantage in the third period to put the game completely out of reach.
Mackenzie Mize led the Grizzlies, 1-7 and 0-2, with 10 points.
Helix hosts Long Creek-Ukiah at 6 p.m. Friday
