UPDATE: Story has been updated with the new scheduled time for the meeting. It is now scheduled for 11 a.m. instead of noon.
WALLA WALLA — The School Board will meet Friday at 11 a.m. to decide what to do with potential excess funds from a Walla Walla High school bond.
The meeting will be held in the district’s board room at 364 S. Park St., and is open to the public. The board will discuss whether any excess funds from the Wa-Hi bond, should it pass, be set aside for other district facility projects or returned to taxpayers. A discussion period will follow with the board voting on the matter.
City residents will be asked Feb. 12 to vote on a $48 million bond to renovate Walla Walla High School. The district anticipates a $21.6 million state match to pay for the project.
