Richland man injured in wreck outside Burbank

BURBANK — A Richland man was hospitalized this morning after a crash with a semi-truck on State Route 124.

William A. Pogue, 65, was in satisfactory condition at Kadlec Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.

According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, Pogue and Gerald A. Vance, 68, of Dayton were both eastbound on the highway about 10 miles east of Burbank Heights when the crash took place.

Vance was attempting a left turn in a 1994 Peterbuilt semi tractor and trailers, authorities said. Pogue attempted to pass and struck the vehicle with his 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Vance was uninjured.
