PASCO - Dayton was still feeling the chills in its snow-postponed match with Tri-Cities Prep Wednesday evening, shooting just 16-for-53 from the field en route to a 53-38 loss in Southeast 2B girls basketball.

T-C Prep's Maddie LeBrun led all scorers with 17 points.

Nicole Lambert led the Bulldogs (3-6 SE2B, 5-12 overall) with 9 points on the night.

Dayton went into the second quarter with an 11-10 lead over the Jaguars (4-4 SE2B, 9-9 overall), but poor shooting combined with defensive breakdowns over the next two quarters left the Bulldogs with a 38-23 deficit going into the fourth.

"It was a game we felt we should have won," Dayton coach Clayton Strong said. "We were disappointed with the loss.

"We came out and played a pretty good first quarter," Strong said. "I thought we played for the most part some pretty good defense. T-C Prep shot the ball really well from the field."

Dayton is tied for fifth in the SE2B and has a rematch with T-C Prep Tuesday. The Bulldogs travel to Liberty Christian Friday night at 6 p.m.
