Dixie man charged with indecent liberties

Colton J. Langworthy is accused of of molesting a developmentally disabled female multiple times on a bus in January.

WALLA WALLA -- A Dixie man has been formally charged with causing a developmentally disabled female to have sexual contact with him several times last month while riding a Columbia County Public Transportation bus.

Colton J. Langworthy, 19, of 101 Gilliam St., is accused of six counts of indecent liberties -- physically incapacitated. The charges were filed Wednesday afternoon in Walla Walla County Superior Court.

Langworthy allegedly forcibly molested the female six days in January.

Her parents notified authorities early this week that they learned their daughter was assaulted while riding a bus in Walla Walla County, according to a Sheriff's Office report filed in court.

She then allegedly told a deputy that a male subject named Colton touched her inappropriately. The crimes were confirmed by recorded surveillance footage from the bus, the report says.

It doesn't reveal the female's biological age, but she reportedly functions at about a 7-year-old level.

Langworthy was arrested at his home Tuesday morning and booked into the County Jail. Bail initially was set at $25,000, but later was raised to $50,000.
