Weston-McEwen girls fall to Union, 51-37

UNION, Ore. - Morgan Entze led the Weston-McEwen TigerScots with 13 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort against the Union Bobcats, 51-37, Saturday night in Blue Mountain Conference girls' basketball.

"Union jumped out to a big lead," W-M coach Amber Doremus said. "We never could recover".

Molly von Borstel also retrieved eight rebounds and threw in four points.

Marlene Bodmer led the TigerScots with 17 points during Friday nights game against Pilot Rock to a 63-40 victory.

Weston-McEwen is 7-5 in BMC play (12-9 overall) and plays Stanfield at home Friday at 6:00 p.m.
