WALLA WALLA -- Rick Woodbury, founder and president of Commuter Cars in Spokane, will present "Innovative Disruption in the World of Transportation" on Feb. 23.

The dinner and talk will be at 6:30 p.m. at Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave., at Whitman College.

It is sponsored by the Walla Walla University Edward F. Cross School of Engineering.

Woodbury created the Tango, an electric vehicle about the size of a motorcycle, which offers more of the safety and comfort of a car.

Woodbury will also discuss the simple engineering principles that make this car possible, despite the initial reactions of safety and rollover stability.

His presentation will be followed by a brief question-and-answer session.

Tickets are $30. For information or tickets, call 509-527-2765. Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 17.
