Former residents sought in Walla Walla now hunted in Idaho


MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho - Authorities in Elmore County are searching for two former Walla Walla residents wanted in connection with vehicle theft and eluding and officer.

According to the Idaho Press-Tribune and other news agencies, Vernon Ray Johnson and Myranda Raeann York were involved in a seven-mile, high-speed vehicle chase on Feb. 4 near Glenns Ferry, Idaho; both Johnson and York got away.

Walla Walla Police said Johnson is wanted here for escaping community custody, possession of dangerous drugs, eluding and possession of stolen property; York is wanted for possession of stolen property.

Johnson and York are believed to be traveling to either Oregon or Colorado.
