WENATCHEE - Walla Walla Community College lost to the last place team in the NWAACC East Region men's basketball standings here Saturday night.

Wenatchee Valley shocked the Warriors, 63-61.

"It was a huge loss for us and we really didn't shoot very well," WWCC coach Jeff Reinland said. "We had trouble shooting the ball. We were 6-of-23 from 3 and 11-of-18 at the foul line. We missed a lot of open shots. We were pretty disappointed."

The Warriors, who moved into sole possession of second place in the league after beating Yakima Valley on Wednesday night, dropped into a virtual tie for third place in the East with Big Bend and YVC. Each team has three league losses. WWCC is 7-3 in league and 16-7 overall.

The Knights now share the Eastern Region basement with Treasure Valley. Both teams are 2-8. Wenatchee Valley is 6-13 overall.

The top scorer for WWCC was Mac Stannard with 18 points and Dylan Radliff had 16.

WWCC plays Wednesday at home against Spokane at 8 p.m.
