Annual literacy night set for Thursday at Touchet School

TOUCHET -- The Touchet School District is hosting its annual literacy night Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Touchet School, 90 Champion St. Residents are invited to attend the free event.

The evening will feature a pizza dinner, followed by guest readers and math activities. Each child participating will also receive a free book.

Featured readers will be Liz George, children's librarian with the Walla Walla Public Library, and Walla Walla County Sheriff's Deputy Luke Watson.

A toddler area will also be available for children not ready for a story.
