Horizona Christian ends Grizzlies boys' season on a down note, 85-29

HOOD RIVER, Ore. - Second-place Horizon Christian put on an exhibition Saturday night defeating Helix, 85-29, in Big Sky League boys basketball.

Horizon Christian (21-4, 12-3 BSL) cleared its bench in the rout, with all 13 Hawks seeing the floor and scoring. Gabe Holsk led the Hawks with 16 points, followed by Matt Totaro with 13 and Mason Bloomster with 12.

Dusty Bennett led Helix (4-20, 1-13 BSL) with 13 points. Zach Sundin scored 8.

The Hawks opened a 22-7 lead after the first and never took their foot off the gas. Horizon didn't score a 3-pointer in the win.

Helix finished the season on an 11-game losing streak and graduates 5-foot-11 wing Sundin, 5-11 wing Daniel Kubishta, 5-11 guard Greg Papineau and 6-4 forward Brendan Decicio.
