Denice Elizabeth Shelton 47, passed away at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla on Feb. 12, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, at Denice's home at 609 Chase Ave. at 4 p.m. for family and friends. Late arrivers are gladly accepted. Denice was born on Oct. 13, 1964, in Walla Walla, to Loren and Dorothy Russell. She graduated from Wa-Hi in 1983 and maintained a permanent residence here. She had her first son, Daniel, in 1986 and had her second son, Troy, in 1992. She made it her life taking care of Troy. She was a wonderful and devoted mother. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful loving personality that would light up your day. She is dearly missed.
Denice is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Shelton and Troy Shelton of Walla Walla; sister, Debbie Burns of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Diane Sandmark of Casper, Wyo.; and third sister, Donna Barrier of Tulare, Calif. She had numerous aunts and uncles; and two grandchildren, Kailer Shelton and Autumn Shelton, both of Walla Walla.
