Communities throughout Washington showed their support for education recently by voting yes on a number of levy and bond proposals.
College Place residents will soon have the opportunity to show their support for our children by voting "yes" for the school bond on April 17.
This proposed bond, along with a $10.8 million state contribution, will build a new Davis, convert Meadow Brook to a middle school and remodel/build a high school at the existing Sager site. More details are available at the College Place School District Web site at cpps.org.
Let's approach this bond with a positive attitude. Think about how nice it would be to have a public high school in College Place. Let's not make taxes, politics or competitions the focus of this issue.
This bond is about doing what is best for our children.
We pay to educate our children no matter where they attend school. Vote "yes" on April 17 for the right reason.
