Garfield County Commissioners are Dean Burton, Wynne McCabe and Robert Johnson. With all present Tuesday commissioners:
- EXCISE TAX: Approved a 2 percent excise tax on the sale or charge made for the furnishing of lodging. The tax is effective beginning March 1. Unanimous.
- CHIP SEAL: Voted to award contract for 190 tons of CRS-2P chip seal oil to low bidder Western States Asphalt, Inc., of Spokane. Western States submitted the lower of two bids, $639.47 per ton. Unanimous.
- COURTHOUSE: Approved final payment to Wellens Farwell, Inc., contractor for the Courthouse renovation project. The amount paid was $86,376. Unanimous.
