First Presbyterian Church to teach through Lent on parables of Jesus
WALLA WALLA - First Presbyterian Church of Walla Walla, 325 S. First Ave., holds "Celebrating Lent Through the Parables," a series of dramatic presentations and teachings over the next six Sundays.
Today at the 9:01 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. services, the teaching will be on "The Lost Son."
In March, teachings include "The Good Samaritan," "The Sower and the Soils," "The Tenants" and "The Vineyard."

Interfaith Coalition on Poverty to meet at noon on Tuesday
COLLEGE PLACE - The Interfaith Coalition on Poverty will meet at noon Tuesday at noon at the Walla Walla University School of Social Work.
Professor Emily Tillotson and her students will share about their recent trip to Olympia and talk about ways that Walla Walla-area residents can be involved in the state legislative process to work to reduce poverty.
The meeting will take place in the WWU Winter Educational Complex, Room #215, on the corner of 4th Street and Davis Avenue. Attendees should use the Davis Avenue entrance. There is an elevator and parking in front of the building.

WALLA WALLA - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., will host a soup-and-bread supper at 5 p.m. Thursday, with a Holden Evensong service at 6 p.m. St. Paul's is offering the meal and service in conjunction with First Congregational Church, which will host the meal and service March 8, and Pioneer United Methodist Church, which will host the meal and service March 15.
St. Paul's Episcopal offers The Reel Fling at First Thursday
WALLA WALLA - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., will present its First Thursday concert and The Reel Fling from 12:15-12:55 p.m., Thursday.
The artists are a Scottish string band, Trudy Ostby on violin, Malinda Pankl on fiddle and Kevin Stauffer on guitar play Celtic airs and dance tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England.
