Film that details dangers of invasive species to be shown

MILTON-FREEWATER -- The threat of invasive species will be the topic of a free film presentation Tuesday.

"The Silent Invasion" will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Albee Room of the Milton-Freewater Library, 8 S.W. Eighth Ave.

An Oregon Field Guide Special, the film is a call to action to protect Oregon from invasive species such as purple loosestrife, Eurasian milfoil, leafy spurge, bullfrogs and zebra mussels.

The presentation is being hosted by The Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council.
