WALLA WALLA - Animal Clinic of Walla Walla presents free pet-care education in a series of lunchtime learning sessions beginning Jan. 10.
The first session, "Help! My Dog is Overweight!" shows attendees how to calculate a dog's caloric needs, the calorie content of popular dog treats and how to plan and launch a weight-loss program for their dog. January attendees will receive complementary products to assist in canine weight management.
The sessions will be offered monthly in noon-12:30 p.m. "bites" and will include the following topics: "Tooth Brushing Made Easy;" "Fleas!;" "Behavior and Counter Conditioning;" "Your Pet and Parasites;" and "Enriching Your Indoor Cat's Life." Sessions are taught by Dawn Barer, RVT. Attendees should not bring their pets to lunchtime learning sessions but can bring a lunch if they wish.
All sessions will be held at Animal Clinic of Walla Walla, 2089 Taumarson Road. For more information, call the clinic at 525-6111.
